As a young boy I was introduced to hunting by my dad and grandpa and immediately fell in love with the sport and the opportunity it gave me to connect with nature and the people I love. When hunting season approached, I was beyond excited and often couldn’t sleep at night. Hunting has been a big part of my life ever since. Some of my fondest memories and most cherished friendships have come from spending time in the field with family and friends.
I’ve had the good fortune of harvesting animals in Mexico, many Western States, Alaska and Canada. Of all the animals I’ve hunted, sheep are at the top of my list. Sheep fever is real! Over the years I have taken a Dall, Stone and Desert sheep, each with their own amazing story. I am hopeful that I will harvest a Rocky in the near future.
I’ve been blessed with a great wife and family who support me in my passion for hunting sheep. My family includes my wife of 38 years, three children and five grandchildren.
I was born and raised in Provo, Utah and spent my career as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch for 35 years. If I’m not hunting, I can be found at our family cabin, water skiing or riding my mules.
I consider it a privilege to be working with the Utah Wild Sheep Foundation in my capacity as a board member to help put more sheep on the mountain so that each of us can enjoy these amazing animals for years to come.
