Travis is a father of two and considers family his most cherished relationships. Exercise and the out of doors have always been a priority and combining the two is even more fulfilling.

Brett Miller’s love of the outdoors was nurtured at a very young age by his Mother’s love of it. Brett was always outdoors watching wildlife. As he got older his interests turned to reading hunting magazine stories, but especially the adventures of Jack O’Connor and his sheep hunts.

Growing up in American Fork, UT at the base of the Wasatch mountains Spencer very early on developed a wonder for the outdoors and wilderness. That curiosity was cultivated further by his father and longtime Utah WSF member Rick Ellison.

I have been asked to serve on the Board of Utah WSF, and I feel this as an honor and privilege. I have been a supporter and member since it was founded.  I have only missed one banquet.  I have a great excuse; I was hunting sheep with my son Brody in the Pine Valley Virgin unit.

Jeff’s first hunt for bighorn sheep was in 2004 where he was able to harvest his first Dall ram.  This amazing hunt began his life-long passion for wild sheep.

MIKE FOWLKS

Mike Fowlks joined the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources in 1993 and became director in 2017 after serving as a deputy director since 2012. He served on the Pacific Flyway Council for eight years, and in a variety of leadership roles for the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, including as president.

Ever since I was a young boy, hunting for birds and big game has been a big part of my life. I remember harvesting my first big game animal, which was a 2 point mule deer buck, and realizing that hunting was not only something that I was going to enjoy for the rest of my life, but it was going to be a true passion of mine.

Swen Mortenson was born in Circleville, Utah and currently resides in Murray, Utah. Swen is the father of three daughters; however, Melissa, the youngest of the three is the only hunter and is the one in the attached photo with Swen.
